A little bit about me...
I have been practicing art therapy for over six years however I have been working with at-risk youth and persons struggling with post traumatic stress disorder for over 15 years. My therapeutic approach is to lead with empathy and understanding first. Therapy is a gradual process with little rewards along the journey however the rewards are not always received immediately. If the client is willing to take the risk then I am willing to walk along side them on the journey.
I graduated from Nazareth College with a Masters of Science in Creative Arts Therapy supported with credits and internship hours from Pratt Institute. I am trained in crisis intervention, art therapy assessments, trauma informed care, guided meditation and coping skills development. I have had the opportunity to work with a plethora of diverse populations in different work settings including the united states military. I am currently licensed through the New York State Office of Professions and board certified through the Art Therapy Credentials Board.
Thank you for your consideration I look forward to meeting you.
"The 'Spark',
is that moment amidst the transference of energy between therapist and client, when the therapist is able to truly see the client beyond the physical"
